Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Sarah is in Toronto for the summer shooting the movie, Take This Waltz, featuring Sarah Polley, Seth Rogan, and Michelle Williams. Other than that there hasn’t been a lot going on lately but I’ll keep you guys updated on new info as soon as I hear!

In the chapter “Me Play Joke” of Sarah Silverman’s book, The Bedwetter, Sarah sort of mentions SarahSilvermanOnline.com in response to the backlash of her Paris Hilton joke at the MTV Movie Awards:

The next morning I Googled myself, and discovered that my joke had sent the internet ablaze. The L.A. Times described my joke as “a cruel beat-down on Hilton.” Even on my own unofficial Web site, one visitor–and presumably a fan–posted: “That was one of the meanest things I’ve ever witnessed.”

Due to the many stand-up gigs Sarah will be attending, I decided to make a permanent stand-up schedule page for the site. It will be updated as more stand-up dates are scheduled. Check it out here. There is also an “easy-access” link at the top of the screen in the header where it says “stand-up.”

About two weeks ago the Sarah Silverman Online forum members came up with several different names to label and identify “Sarah Silverman fans.” After many nominated ideas, a poll was taken to choose the winning name. Joe (aka Nagyovafan in the forum) won for submitting “The Jew Crew” as the name to identify Sarah’s group of fans. A few other nominations were “Silvermen,” “Silvermanites,” and “Silverheads.” This poll was taken only for fun but if the name catches on, then so be it! Joe also made some designs and t-shirts after coining his winning name. If you are a big Sarah Silverman fan and haven’t joined The Sarah Silverman Forum already, you should do so. We definitely have some interesting and fun discussions.
