Season 2 Volume 2 (aka Season 2B) of The Sarah Silverman Program will be released on February 9th. The timing of this DVD release date is to coincide with the airing of next season’s premier episode on Comedy Central. No information on special features for this DVD have been released yet.
It was announced today that Sarah is nominated for an Emmy in the category of “Lead Actress in a Comedy” for her work on The Sarah Silverman Program. Also nominated in this category are:

The Emmy’s will be aired September 20th from Los Angeles on CBS and hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. Congratulations Sarah and good luck!
Sarah has a guest appearance on the upcoming MTV show “How’s Your News?” which premieres Feb. 8th. “How’s Your News?” features a team of reporters with disabilities who take a bus across the country, along the way interviewing people on the street (who sometimes turn out to be celebrities). Sarah Silverman will be making a cameo appearance along with several other comedians in Adam Sandler’s new movie Funny People which is scheduled to release Summer 2009. The movie “focuses on the story of George Simmons (Sandler), a very successful yet self-involved stand-up comic who learns that he has a disease and has less than a year to live, and a struggling up-and-coming comic, Ira, played by Seth Rogen. Both of them have one thing in common: both have no close friends. On one night, the two meet and George hires Ira to be his assistant and his best friend.” – AHN
