Sarah was one of many celebrities at yesterday’s 2014 Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment Breakfast. But while most were there to watch, Sarah was a featured speaker, introducing a video tribute to the late Joan Rivers. A transcript of her speech is here, or you can watch it yourself below.
Melissa Rivers, Joan’s daughter, also spoke. Shonda Rhimes received the Sherry Lansing Award, which recognizes industry pioneers and leaders. Scholarship were given to 18 inner-city girls who participate in THR‘s Mentorship Program, which pairs girls with leading figures from the entertainment industry.
About the event, Sarah tweeted, “Had to get up at the crack o my ass but twas worth it. @shondarhimes’ speech made me a better man.”
Perez Hilton posted admiration for Sarah’s morning glamour: “There was Sarah, who would’ve been the most demure in her simple black dress if not for her pneumatic cleavage!”
The Women in Entertainment breakfast coincides annually with the publication of THR‘s “Women in Entertainment: Power 100” list. The breakfast was held at Milk Studios in Los Angeles.
You can see the complete “Power 100” list here. (No, Sarah is not on the list.)
