The Jew Crew


About two weeks ago the Sarah Silverman Online forum members came up with several different names to label and identify “Sarah Silverman fans.” After many nominated ideas, a poll was taken to choose the winning name. Joe (aka Nagyovafan in the forum) won for submitting “The Jew Crew” as the name to identify Sarah’s group of fans. A few other nominations were “Silvermen,” “Silvermanites,” and “Silverheads.” This poll was taken only for fun but if the name catches on, then so be it! Joe also made some designs and t-shirts after coining his winning name. If you are a big Sarah Silverman fan and haven’t joined The Sarah Silverman Forum already, you should do so. We definitely have some interesting and fun discussions. :)

No offense……but I disagree with this. Even though it’s all in good fun not all of us are jewish….hell, I’m not even catholic!

Joe, I think it’s more like saying “The Sarah Crew” but since she’s a Jew and it rhymes, the other Joe nominated it as “The Jew Crew.” But I can see where it can sound confusing for some.

I want a t-shirt!! That would be awesome. No, I’m not Jewish but who gives a shit? I’m a teacher and a member of our local Holocaust educators group and would totally wear it to our meetings. I think my Jewish friends and Holocaust survivors would giggle.

Of course I like Jew Crew. Best solution. Man I dig Sarah’s sense of humor…

However, if you actually want to “sell” tshirts… well… I dunno.

But I also thought SILVER SURFERS would make sense.
